My name is Vanessa Stuart. I am a wife to my college sweetheart, the mother of 2 boys ages 16 and 20, and educator of 24 years.
As an educator, I have served in mostly Title I schools. I have been a teacher, an educational diagnostician, a district curriculum coordinator, and a campus administrator. I have seen the pendulum of educational pedagogy swing in both extremes more than once. Ultimately, I believe that most strategies can meet a student’s needs if the educator has enough passion for both the child and the practice to find ways to help students achieve.
This blog is to share my journey. While I have some tremendous blessings in both my personal and professional life, I have also experienced some significant hardships. However, when dealing with my greatest challenges, it has been through the grace of God, the grit to persevere, and a willingness to grow that has helped me to achieve my goals.
